Are You Providing Value Instead of Trying to SELL Your Home Based Business?

Are you providing value with your home based business or are you so wrapped up in generating more leads, that you don't really give people anything of value? If your only intent is to generate leads and sell them something, then people are going to see right throught that. People are not interested in being SOLD anything, they want to choose for themselves.

The old model of Network Marketing was about buying leads, then calling them, sort and sift through them to find out who is interested or who isn't interested, and basically repeating that cycle. How about going about this in a different way!

How about providing some value in what you do and attracting people to you instead. What if people actually liked the information you put out there and they WANT to hear more from you. When people like what you have to say, and they want to hear more, they are willing to receive emails and information from you and as those emails keep coming, you build trust and a relationship with the people willing to get your emails. After a while, it is like they already know you because they've heard from you, they have gotten to know you and they have gotten something of value from you. They see that you are about quality.

Maybe you are wondering what I mean when I say "providing value to people". Maybe you are wondering how a person even goes about doing that. I could try to explain that in depth here and hope to have you understand exactly what I mean, but I think it would be easier to simply let you have the resource that taught me all about this topic.

When I first got started with my homebased business, I too was just trying to figure out how to sell something and make some money. It wasn't until I came across Renegade University that I truly understood what Attraction Marketing was all about, and I truly understood for the first time, why I needed to provide value to people before I could expect my business to grow.

Are You Taking Advantage of Social Networking to Build Your Business!

As I was sitting here thinking about how I wanted to go about getting more traffic to my website, I remembered some of the resources I've used in the past.  You see, I am not a power seller (yet) so my search rankings on Ebay are not going to be as high as those that are already power sellers. Does that mean I have to simply wait until I sell enough items to hope to get any kind of traffic to my web page?  Absolutely not!

There are a multitude of ways I can get traffic to my website, any website for that matter, and I can do a great majority of it for FREE.  By learning how to use just a few Social Marketing and Social Networking resources, I can generate free traffic to any web page I choose.

Some of the ways I generate traffic are:
blogs - like this one.  Search Engines seem to love blogs so whenever you post something to your blog, not only are you reaching out to the masses, you are letting the search engines know you've got some new content.  When the search engine spiders crawl your site and see new, fresh, content, they love that and they rank you.  The more activity you have going on in your blog, the better it is in the long run for search engine rankings.

Social Networks- Myspace, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter just to name a few. Twitter seems to be the hottest thing going on the net these days so you really should check it out.  Signing up is FREE. Honestly, there are tons of social networks out there now, but the few I just mentioned are some of the major ones.  If you aren't using Social Networks to generate some traffic and visitors to your web page - you are seriously missing out on an excellent way to market for FREE.

Squidoo Lens - This is another favorite of the Search Engines. A Squidoo Lens is a way to generate a unique page with unique content that the search engine spiders find and they love it.  You can create as many lens as you want about anything and generate traffic to your website.  Did I mention, this won't cost you a thing either!  To see a lens I did specifically related to my Ebay Store, Click HERE

I could go on and on here about all the different things you could do to generate traffic and business to your site but I might as well give you the information you need to learn how to do this for yourself.  If you promoting products and/or a store here on Ebay, you might as well do everything you can to get people to your page.

ps.  Don't forget the referral credits you get when you direct someone to Ebay from an outside source.

Have you tried your hand at article marketing? If not, you really need to give it a try. This can be one of the easiest and most affordable ways to generate website traffic and leads for your homebased business. There are tons of ways to work article marketing, but you may want to get started with EzineArticles.com. This is a very easy service to use and you can create many articles that get your website in the search engines. EzineArticles.com has some rules you must follow, but the big one to keep in mind is that your purpose for writing an article is to provide some information and value to others. Yes, you do want to eventually get visitors to your website, but the body of the article is not supposed to be a sales pitch. You can place a link to your business website in the resource area of your article. This will make more sense once you get started writing your first article.

There are also Article Submission sites that you can use that will submit one article to many different sites for you. This makes the job of submitting your articles all over the search engine a lot less time consuming for you.

Another helpful resource is a program that helps create many articles for you based on expert research on keywords that generate traffic and income. This program is called SimplyPlr and you can get a monthly membership that provides about 255 articles for you to use how ever you choose. Along with SimplyPr, you can use something called Article Apps. What Article Apps does is allow you to put an article in and the program "spins" the article creating many different variations of the article still using researched and effective keywords. You can imagine how time consuming Article Marketing could be if you are writing articles one at a time. Your articles stay on topic and your keep search engine spiders interested in your blog because they pick up changes daily.
